A recent Dunkin Donuts experience just provided an example of himsa. The edgy pop music blaring in the background imposes aggressively on the mind, and is not part of the expected experience. Thus it's a gratuitous encroachment on others' internal space by an unthinking manager. Thus it's himsa, not ahimsa.
