Rudimentary consciousness may have developed very early in evolution. Perhaps emergence of form and phenomena—us and everything—entails a fundamental innate striving of the universe for consciousness. Maybe what drives manifestation of the whole phenomenal universe from pure unexpressed being is the "longing" of the Absolute to know itself and explore its potential through consciousness in us and everything.
Maybe the universe sought consciousness to prove to itself that it exists, and so manifested from simple beingness and latent awareness—non duality—into the universe we observe.We are an intrinsic part, is like a child.It is like us. It created itself out of an impulse to explore its potential—because it is “lonely,” because it seeks to know itself, because it is a creator? We are its product and a part of it: a wave in an ocean. So our search is also the universe’s search, and perhaps, just like us, the universe will finally find the answer is just to return to itself as a united whole, and then its longing will be satisfied and it—we—will all be complete again.
