A kind of dense cathedral light

A kind of light—like dense cathedral light—

like light on the leaves of painted-glass trees;

This light, a kind of sun hiding low in the clouds,

making the still clouds glow, close to the ground;

This light, held in place by stationary points,

diffused from light points to make a single cloud sky;

This close-to-the-ground light—like church light—

envelopes tree trunks, polychromatic leaves and foot paths,

And stretches to stillness; this light—

this cathedral light—this daylight; this now:

Good morning.
