All your successes in the end

Next

All your successes in the end are only attributes of your aspirations as an actor. To be that, you act—it really doesn't matter whether you are productive or what you create. Most of the most successful people in the world do neither directly, and what indirectly emerges is just the audience responding. If you want to be successful in this society—like a great actor—and have many things and friends, then you can do that. There's not much to it. But in the end, these successes just put a moment's light step in your stride; then fatigue catches up to you, as it does. If you forget your past and future and your place and position, and sink into your real deeper nature by gently participating in nature, then you are... just now here. That one success is worth way more than the thousands of bucks you might get for just another performance. That's just that.
